The Opportunity:

Optum is seeking a Senior Data Engineering Analyst to join their growing team in Noida. The role focuses on designing and developing data models and ETL processes for Power BI solutions, working closely with business partners to understand healthcare data requirements. This position offers exposure to modern cloud technologies and enterprise-level data environments while contributing directly to improved healthcare outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement data models and ETL processes for Power BI solutions
• Create and maintain test scripts for data validation across cloud-based data lifecycles
• Collaborate with business partners and subject matter experts to understand healthcare quality measures and related requirements
• Perform data validation after system enhancements, determining optimal validation techniques
• Communicate effectively with leadership and analysts across teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to jobs, pipelines, or overhead processes
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems and reporting solutions
• Adhere to employment contract terms, company policies, and directives regarding flexible work arrangements and other organizational changes

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.Tech./MCA preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering roles
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Spark, or Scala
• Experience working with cloud technologies, ideally Snowflake, ADF, and Databricks
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (preferably using Rally)
• Knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting for automation and batch jobs
• Experience with configuration management tools like GitHub
• Understanding of relational databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, IBM DB2, or MySQL
• Knowledge of messaging queues (Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Strong grasp of relational database modeling and entity-relationship diagrams
• Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
